RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MONEY AND HAPPINESS

From my childhood, I heard most times that:

“MONEY CAN’T BUY HAPPINESS”

But, when I came into the practical life my opinion got changed. I come
to know that although it is not directly related to our happiness,
indirectly it affects our happiness. For instance, money gave us security
and security causes satisfaction which finally leads to happiness.
But it is a weak relationship due to a factor called “Spending”.

Only having money not always gives us satisfaction. It is also
proved by the latest study of “Leong”.

According to my opinion, I felt like only having money didn’t make us
happy if we don’t know how to spend it. I myself saw many people in
my life who have a lot of money but some people just save it for the
future and some people didn’t spend it rightly.

As Elizabeth Dunn believes:
“It’s not about the amount spent but rather the way in which money is spent.”

In our society, most people said that if you have money just save
it, no doubt saving money is a good habit but not always, we should
spent it on which actually gave us happiness. For example, if you want
to get a ticket of Europe trip “just go for it” rather than buying a ring of
gold.
Eventually, I highlight some points which explain it very well and these
are:
1. Buy more experiences and fewer material goods
2. Use the money to help others
3. Buy small pleasures rather than large ones
4. Delay consumption
5. Close attention to the happiness of others.
